Albert Dock 180

When Think PR approached me with the idea of showing work from my archive as part of the Albert Dock’s 180th birthday, and obviously only work that was shot at the Albert Dock, I thought it was a bit of a stretch! I mean, I know I’ve done some work down there at various events and venues, and there was an iconic photograph of an old friend walking across the Hartley Bridge in 1988 (iconic in our house anyway) but I didn’t think I’d be able to fill a slideshow that was to be projected across one whole side of the Albert Dock. No pressure at all. And then I started looking. Wading through old boxes of film and quickly scanning through half a million digital pics, and suddenly I’ve got an hour-long slideshow of Albert Dock photos that needed to be downsized and animated into something more manageable. But fair play to Phil Nixon and the team at Think for doing an incredible job and then following it up again with another slideshow dedicated to the release of my book ‘In Clubland: 35 Summers of Love’. Absolutely honoured!
