2026 (a roundup)
Every year, as we approach the end of that year, I think about doing a roundup, and by the time we’re into the first week in January, I usually decide that it’s probably too late. So I’m getting in early for this year, or rather late for the last three years, as I’ve not blogged anything here since 2023! I guess that’s a reaction to the short-term attention span that is social media. So, whilst I’ve got a lot to catch up on, I’m going to keep it super brief and I’m also going to stick to just the main part of my work, which takes up about 90% of my time. The arts! In the loosest sense of the word, of course, as I work across different disciplines and in all kinds of different ways. Sometimes I photograph performances, in both rehearsals and the productions themselves, sometimes indoors onstage and sometimes street theatre or massive immersive productions. I also work a lot with audiences and their reactions, and I love photographing the whole participatory side of the arts world, as well as photographing the performances themselves. So here are a few favourites from work completed over the first 10 months of 2026. Happy New Year. 🙃
